At a Glance
Micro Silica — also known as Silica Fume or Condensed Silica Fume — is an ultra-fine amorphous silicon dioxide (SiO₂) powder, a by-product of silicon and ferro-silicon alloy manufacturing. With a mean particle size of 0.1–0.2 µm, it is approximately 100 times finer than OPC.
Compliant with IS 15388 : 2003 and ASTM C1240, Micro Silica is the go-to additive for Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC), reactive powder concrete, and wherever extreme strength, impermeability, and chemical resistance are required.
Achieves M80–M120+ concrete grades by filling inter-particle voids and accelerating pozzolanic reactions.
Densifies microstructure to near-zero permeability — essential for aggressive chemical exposure conditions.
Resists chloride attack, sulphate attack, acid exposure, and carbonation more effectively than any other SCM.
Improves steel-concrete interface bond, increasing pull-out and shear strength of reinforced elements.
Ultra-fine particles reduce bleeding and segregation, improving fresh concrete quality.
Hard, dense surface layer — ideal for industrial floors, tunnel linings, and wear-resistant structures.
Test reports and batch certificates are available on request with every consignment.

Hardened surface layer for warehouses, chemical plants, and heavy-traffic industrial floors.
Micro silica shotcrete delivers superior early strength and adhesion for tunnel support.
Core ingredient in RPC and UHPC achieving compressive strengths of 150–200+ MPa.
High-strength, low-permeability grouting for post-tensioning ducts and rock anchors.
Micro Silica (D50 ~0.15µm) is ~20x finer than Ultra Fine Fly Ash and ~100x finer than OPC. It has far higher SiO₂ content (≥85% vs ~50% in fly ash) and delivers greater strength and impermeability gains, but at a higher cost.
Typically 5–10% by weight of cement. Beyond 10%, workability drops sharply and superplasticiser demand increases significantly. In UHPC, doses of 15–25% are used with very high SP dosages.
Yes — Micro Silica significantly increases water demand and stiffens the mix. A high-range water reducer (HRWR/PCE-based) is essential to maintain workability.
Yes — TSG Impex supplies both. Undensified (bulk density ~250 kg/m³) for slurry preparation or direct batching plant addition; Densified (bulk density ~600 kg/m³) for easier handling, bagging, and transport.
Store in sealed, moisture-proof conditions. Undensified micro silica is extremely light and dust-prone — silo storage with proper dust collection is recommended for plant use.
